Learning your bike

Have you ever wanted to learn about how your bike works but didn’t know who to ask? The Bike Church is a wonderful co-operative dedicated to teaching practical bike mechanics to anyone willing to learn. Trained volunteers help out customers (who pay by donation) with anything from a flat to building an entire bike. It is a positive environment for bikers of all kinds.

Hours are 3pm -7pm Monday thru Saturday and to check out events on their calender (such as intro to bike mechanics for women and kids day), click here.

While you’re there, check out People Power, an organization dedicated to Santa Cruz transportation beyond fossil fuels. They advocate for more hiking and biking trails with their most recent plan to connect Santa Cruz to Watsonville and beyond via train.
